My Year With Agatha: Miss Marple Part III

Good Afternoon! I loved this week's reading. As the pace of life is settling down somewhat, I was able to squeeze in two books over the week. Nothing beats settling down with a good mystery on a summer night!

A Pocketful of Rye
When a wealthy businessman is poisoned, the search for his murderer begins. The mystery deepens when his coat is found to be filled with rye! The question is not who had a motive, but rather who had the opportunity AND motive. Then, more murders occur. Miss Marple and Inspector Neely have to find out who the murderer is before more lives are taken!

4:50 From Paddington
I love these train mysteries! When Mrs. McGillicuddy witnesses a woman being murdered on a passing train, she contacts her trusty friend, Miss Marple. Despite the lack of evidence, Miss Marple is certain she can find the killer. She recruits the help of Ms. Eyelesbarrow to pose as the housemaid for at nearby Rutherford Hall to investigate. Who would have a motive to kill the woman? How did they hide all evidence? Enjoyable story with another dysfunctional family lol.

If you would like to read along, I've included links to these books here:

Next Up: The Mirror Crack'd From Side to Side and A Caribbean Mystery.
